AN INTERACTIVE MEDIA COMPANY

Joe Sparks has formed Pop Rocket Inc., located in San Francisco, in December 1991 to develop and publish interactive media. Pop Rocket President Joe Sparks was co-developer of the pioneering and popular interactive CD-ROM title Spaceship Warlock. Sparks is one of the emerging new multimedia artists in the industry. His blend of technical expertise and artistic skills allows him to create and combine graphics, animation, programming, writing, and music together to form interactive media.

Sparks teamed up with co-founders, Maura Sparks and Kent Carmical, experienced professionals from the fields of computer graphics, music, and marketing to form Pop Rocket. The company╣s goal is to be the most innovative developer and successful publisher of interactive-media. Sparks draws on his experience and leads development on Pop Rocket╣s title, Total Distortion, the first in a line of music video adventure games. It will become a milestone product in interactive CD-ROM development. Users can explore a full color 3D world filled with high-energy rock music, interactivity, and amazing animation. Innovative software devices allow you to quickly assemble music videos and hilarious TV programs, navigate to far-out locations, and interact with radical adolescents, underground punks, metal heads, and Gothic mutants. With over 500 megabytes of media, including over fifty original songs, Total Distortion is the largest game of its kind. The game also tests your creativity, powers of observation, and business savvy. As an │Adventurous Video Producer,▓ in search of new material for their videos, the gaming system within Total Distortion is very uniqueïrewarding courage, creativity and intellect with fame, fortune, and survival. Games are user-configurable, allowing you to choose the goal, danger, and difficulty levels.

Pop Rocket╣s Total Distortion, will be distributed in North America by Electronic Arts. The Macintosh and Windows version will be available in Summer, 1995. Pop Rocket will continue to develop entertainment titles for the Apple Macintosh, Windows personal computers, PowerPC, and other home entertainment systems.
